Before

My clients were looking for a quick and easy update / refresh to 2 spare bedrooms.
They were on a tight budget and a very short time frame before visitors arrived from overseas, pre-Christmas. It was a case of having to make quick decisions and even quicker implementation!! My clients had already purchased the duvet covers so this was a good starting point.
The home is located just 200 metres from Howick beach, so both rooms were inspired by the colours, textures and laidback feel of the beach, and have a relaxed, coastal vibe. Colours of driftwood and soft blues and whites were repeated.
Wooden lamp bases in bedroom one added a natural element along with textured shades. An oar on the wall added a further beach feel.
More texture is found in the stunning trim on the small feature cushion. Fresh pastel blues and whites were repeated in bedroom two. There was a much loved existing white cane bedside table with amazing detail. This was kept and we added white lamps which have a touch of timber.
A bright teal blue herringbone throw added more texture and some warmth. New duvet inners and euros added volume and layering with a mix of cushions in plains, prints and textured embroidery.
An ottoman in one corner gives visitors a place to put a handbag or overnight bag, and doubles as somewhere to place guest towels. The addition of a large white decorative mirror expanded the room and reflected the natural light from a large window.
Stage one is now complete.
Future plans include installing white timber blinds, painting the walls and new beds with rattan headboards.

“After” photos will be revealed later. Covid 19 has put our photoshoot on hold!!

Sarah
Sarah is a really busy Mum of 2 and also works from home.
She shared a “before” of her lounge. Recently having bought a new sofa, she was looking for advice on layout, simplifying what was in the room and “brightening” it up.
The work continues and once completed, I will share the outcome.

Gemma
A teenager with loads of “stuff”!!
Nothing I can’t handle!
Gemma had a vision of what she wanted her bedroom to look like and created her own moodboard.
Decluttering and organising was about all it took, along with a new Roman Blind, and a couple of new lights set higher on the ceiling so they didn’t block the vision in to the room.
I suggested a different position for a couple of pieces of furniture which opened up the space.
Follow me to see the reveal – coming soon.
